I'd mentioned in a post a couple of months back about an extremely painful never ending toothache.

And now it's back... worst than ever. I actually did get a check-up done and I found out that it is my wisdom teeth which are giving me a problem.

I need to get them extracted, but I'm being a wimp as usual. :*(

However, the pain is becoming unbearable and I'll have to have the courage to get it done, inshaAllah.

I've been living on painkillers for the past few days. Keep me in your prayers!

LoL! I had my extraction done! and it wasn't really painful just a little bloody (it'll bleed alot). Aannnddd if the bleeding won't stop chances are it'll have to be stitched :p

Brufen 600 mg shall be your new friend from that day onwards..

Anddd then you'll gain WEIGHT!!! Even the antibotics given to you won't be anything else than 600 mg!

*sigh* May Allah make it easy for you :p

Ouch, sounds tough. I can't stand going to the dentist, but force myself to. Never much fun though.

Wisdom teeth always make me wonder - if God really created us, how come wisdom teeth cause so many people so much pain? Maybe there's something in Islam that explains it. The Bible doesn't mention it, to the best of my knowledge!

It is tough!! I was literally in tears a couple of hours back. It was literally killing me, besides that, I had a pounding headache.

Anyway, I went to the Pharmacy and I have to take 3 pills [antibiotics] everyday until the pain disappears. Only then can I go to the dentist.

Thank God for medication!!

*sigh* My child! Priceless wisdom comes with pain. A fact of life it is, without pain you shall never value it's worth...

Okay okay, let's get to point. Nope, Vm it wasn't a lady but rather a male (had heard too many scary stories didn't want to mess up my earing ability). And yeah, the whole process took around 25 mins. Two injections and the jaw goes numb (oh yeah, and one really does look cute with all the swelled up face). In my case the bleeding didn’t stop so it had to be stitched (and yeah you don’t want your tongue to touch those stitches..it’s scarrrryyy)

Well, the good part was consuming ice creams, cold drinks and not feeling half of your cheek. And yep, no mouth wash was 24 hours..taste your own blood :p

“Until the pain disappears”?? Err, I believe you should pay a visit to dentist asap.

Habayeb: *sigh* Where have you been? :p

Thanks a lot Woman for scaring me further! :( May Allah have mercy sigh.

I dont know... I think I'd still opt for a Female doctor. Too uncomfortable with a male one.

Besides, i dislike docs and dentists. *grumbles*

Trust me, be happy you don't need to have a root canal done! I head a bad toothache last June, and I wish it was my wisdom teeth...

Umm Blog: Knowing you, you'd probably link me to some gruesome video about extracting teeth... I'm not watching it. :(

Modern Girl: I would've simply run the other way from a root canal. No way am I ever getting one [InshaAllah!].
