Assalāmu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullāhi Wabarakath,

Like every year, I depart with this month with great sadness. I couldn't help but cry tonight in prayer, knowing that it would be the last night of blessed Ramadan 2008 and that this could possibly be my last Ramadan. Who knows when the Angel of Death can strike? I long to spend one Ramadan near the Kaabah in Mecca, I pray Allah grants me this once, in my lifetime.

May Allah subhanna wa ta'ala allow us to access many more Ramadans and allow us to benefit from them. Ameen.

Wishing all of you and your loved ones, Eid Mubarak.

Allahumma taqabbal minna siyamana wa qiyamana wa salatana wa du3a-ana innaka Anta As-Sami’-ul Al’alim

Eid Mubarak!
I can't imagine how it must feel to have Ramadhan near the Kaabah! That must be magnificent!

I can empathise. On the first and last night I was overcome with both sadness and joy. Indeed, we don't know if we'll see another ramadhaan, and we have to make a conscious effort to live each day as though it's our last
