Assalam Alaykum

It's the time of the year where majority of us stress about studying. I don't think I'll be updating for a while though i have all these topics in my head that i want to blog about. I have finals coming up and other things which are going on right now that prevent me from blogging.

I'm so stressed. I wish i was like those people who study 24/7 and only take little five minute breaks. I procrastinate so much and waste most of my day doing silly things.

However, before i go, i thought it would be nice to share this with my readers. Although we might know this already and it might be at the back of our heads, it is always good to remind ourselves.

Below is an excerpt from an article which talks about repentance:

The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam, said: "The master of invocations for forgiveness is that the servant says:

'Allãhumma 'anta rabbee, lã 'ilãha 'illã 'anta, khalaqtanee, wa 'anã `abduka, wa 'anã `alã `ahdika wa wa`dika mastata`tu, 'a`outhu bika min sharri ma sana`tu, 'aboo'u laka bini`matika 'alayya, wa 'aboo'u bithambee, faghfirlee fa'innahu lã yaghfiru 'aththunooba 'illã 'anta.

O' my 'ilãh You are my Lord, there is no 'ilãh but You. You created me, and I am your bondservant, and I will stick to my covenant and promise [of faith and sincere obedience] to You, as to my ability. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done, I acknowledge, to You, your bounties upon me, and I acknowledge, to You, my sin. Thus forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.

Whoever says this as he enters upon evening, then, dies that night, he would enter Paradise; and if one says this as he enters upon morning, then, dies that day, he would enter Paradise". [Al-Bukhari]

May Allah subhanna wa ta'ala purify our intentions and allow us to enter Jannatul-Firdaus.

Ameen.

Keep me in your duas
.

Some study tips for Muslims:

- "Rabbe Zidnee Ilma" (Qur'an)

- "Rabbe hablee hukman wal hiknee bis saliheen" (Qur'an)

- Use Siwaak

- Keep nafl fasts (sawm)

- Read more Qur'an

- Study after Fajr

- Perform 2 raka'at before any exam

- Always aim for the best. But be happy with whatever is to be. Qaddar Allah.

Other (general) suggestions
- sleep early. I know it is tempting to study till late. Don't

- study small amounts daily, throughout the year.

- make a timetable. Study your favourite subjects on tougher days.

- rewrite the notes you have - make them tidy, presentable, colourful, interesting.

- make summary notes from the notes you have (these should fit a whole topic onto a small card/paper - it takes some practice). Use Mind Maps if that helps.

- review the summary notes ONLY before the exam time. No need to look at (or carry) the HEAVY books and reams of notes on that day - that will just scare you more!
