Reflections Of A Muslimah

Assalāmu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullāhi Wabarakath,

There was a recent hype caused on the Internet and in the media by the controversial 'Memri Tv'. Memri TV is Jewish owned, that is and in of itself should make people, especially Muslims think twice about believing in anything they produce or relying on them. They should confirm from authentic resources, especially if it has to do with Muslims/Arabs. And considering their previous videos/article it is very obvious their only aim is to malign, ridicule and portray Muslims and the teaching of Islam in a bad light.

The hype was cause by a video translation in which Shaykh Saleh Al-Munajjid, a very prominent Islamic Scholar, called for the killing of Mickey Mouse, the cartoon character. It was blown out of proportion, with people, including Muslims calling him extremist/fanatic, but this is the aim of Memri TV. There were a lot of things that were not taken into account, like that fact that Shaykh Saleh Al-Munajjed, was obviously joking.
