... from asking for forgiveness?

Allah the Almighty has said in a beautiful hadith:

“O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as its.”

(al-Tirmidhi, 3540; classed as hasan by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 4338)

Do it. Repent. Now.

Before it is too late.

I saw that video on the UAE community blog, and lets just say I couldn't stop thinking about it while doing my taraweh prayers at the mosque. May Allah subhanna wa ta'ala punish those who oppress others. I really hope something is done about it. :(

shukran for the reminder. i think sometimes we forget how easy it is to make istighfar and to sit and make du'a. a lot of times people underestimate the power it holds!
