Assalam Alaykum warahmutallahi Wabarakath

Sadly enough one by one the computers in our house have been dying out on me. My Wireless connection was giving me a lot of problems the past few weeks - sometimes it would connect and at times it wouldn't. [More often then not] And it would keep on saying: 'looking for IP address', anyway with the help of a few people i fixed it but then it went down again. It didn't really matter though because i had a line which i would use so i let it be.

Today, my line stopped working all of a sudden and my laptop got jammed. My laptop isn't that old either, i just bought it a couple of months back. It wouldn't shutdown and after i finally managed to close it, it got stuck while re-starting. And now, when it loads it's extremely slow when before it was fast. I think there might be a virus in it. I hate it. Subhanallah, i'm so angry at it. The other day i wracked my brain trying to make the Wireless connection work.

My Brothers laptops connection stopping working before mine and he would end up using my laptop. And now, both of our laptops are dead and our home computer is so slow that i really don't feel like using it. No more browsing Islamic Forums at night and stalking blogs. [Until they get fixed Insha'Allah]

I guess I'll have to take both of them to get fixed tomorrow Insha'Allah. Or probably on Saturday because Friday is Jumuah and nearly all the shops are closed so i doubt CompuMe will be open. I'll check if it's open in the evenings. Or maybe i'll search for my warranty card and go to the main store. I really hope they don't reboot it or uninstall everything because I've got all these Islamic lectures and favourites stored on it which I'd downloaded and they would all be gone.

Gah. I wish i was tech savvy. I did take I.T once upon a time, and i know my basics but that's where it ends.

On the bright side, maybe I'll be able to take some much needed time off the net and study.

I'm in one of those phases where I've been skipping so many classes and i really don't feel like attending any of them. I'd rather stay home and sleep. But we all need edmucation.

I'd like to add that my eight month year old niece is absolutely fascinated by my laptop. She baby-talks to it, laughs at it and when she sits in my lap while i use it, she trys to bang on it. I made her press the keys once with her little hand and she was extremely fascinated. My Mom got her her own mini plastic kid laptop which when pressed blares out duas and small Surahs from the Quran. I have a feeling she'll be the first smallest kid to use the computer in our family. [Which is frightening to say the least.]

ah.. we all suffer from the ill-fated computer virus every now and then.

I wish your computer the quick and speedy recovery it deserves :)

As salaam alaikum.

I love Allah (swt) but I hate the computer problems that 'qadr' seems to put in my way.

If what you described happened to me my laptop might be out the window. Thanks to Allah (swt) my wife is quite good when issues come up. As a result I just say:

"Dear, um can you help me? Insha'Allah."

On a side note, do you know any brothers or sisters who are having a baby? If so please let me know. I have started a sajada campaign on my blog and would like to buy my new little brother or sister in Islam one as a gift.

Ma'as salaama,
