Assalam Alaykum Warahmutallahi wabarakath,

I haven't updated in a bit, been busy with quite a few things lately.

Ramadan, alhamdulilah is going well. I've been busy managing and balancing Ramadan and family/studies/Worldy things. So yeah, i've developed a life. lol. Therefore i haven't been getting enough time to come Online that much for the past few days.

Mashallah, the Imam's Qiraat at our local mosque is simply beautiful. I just had to compliment it. May Allah s.w.t give him ajar and keep him on the straight path always. Ameen.

I haven't really been out during Ramadan, except to the Mosque, Supermarket, Class, etc so i don't know how the rest of U.A.E is faring but Ramadan in a Muslim Country, no matter what, is alhamdulilah really nice.

The Ramadan tents are out and the Mosques are full. Ramadan just give you this beautiful feeling of contentment. It's flying by and i don't want it to end.

We should remember to ask for forgiveness, especially in this month. Allah s.w.t is the most merciful. Ramadhan is a wonderful opportunity for accounting of one's sins and making repentance. If one does not repent in Ramadhan, when will he or she do so?

O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. [hadith Qudsi]

Some dua's i thought would be useful that i've been reading this Ramadan:

‘Allahumma innaka `afuwwun tuhibbul `afwa fa`fu `annee

Oh Allah! Truly you are the forgiver, you love to forgive, so forgive me.

Rabbana innanā amanna, faghfir lana, dhunoobana wa-qinna 'adhāāban-naar

(Our Lord! we have indeed believed: forgive us, then, our sins, and save us from the agony of the Fire) [surah Ali' Imran; 3:16]

"...Ya muqallib-al Quloob, sabbit qloobana alaa deenik.."

Oh Changer of Hearts! Make our hearts firm upon your faith.

May Allah s.w.t guide us and make our imaan stronger. Ameen.

May Allah s.w.t accept our good deeds, our duas and save us from the hell-fire. Ameen.

Salaam sis..

Jazakallah for the post - especially for the duas! Man, you're so lucky to be in a Muslim country.. the sense of unity and community must truly be amazing. I stil think Dubai is considered Muslim.. the food is halal, the masjid's have adhaans out loud and the whole place practically shuts down for Ramadan. That's enough for me. Wish I could be there!

When is the next post:)
I must admit, I visited Dubai a few times and I hated it;)
Just seems to commercial and busy and people not friendly and you get my drift! But I probably maybe just visited the wrong places and people....

Salaam Alaykum,

Yep, it's true that Dubai has become very un-islamic. Sadly. May Allah s.w.t guide the ummah.

What i meant was, atleast the people who'r practicing Muslims can still practice properly without people saying anything to them and during Ramadan, the hours of all workplaces/universities/school's get shortened, people do more ibaadah. There is the power of 'Islam' that comes alive during Ramadan among the Muslims and people respect each other. However, in normal days it's another story.

Sharjah is still better and more 'islamic'.

I agree. It must be a totally different experience just being around people who are Muslim!

My comment was based on the few days I spent there- but maybe next time you can suggest a few places where I can have a more pleasant experience:)
